Blade of Destiny HEX list
Here is a file with the offsets for various things to edit in
Realms of Arkania I: Blade of Destiny, by Attic and Sir-Tech.Although this
is an old game and I just got it, I thought it mightnonetheless be
interesting to upload this list. Enjoy!
As a convention: I call the offset of the name of each character 00. As the
offset for each name seems to differ in each savegame, the best thing to do
is to use a search option to search for the name of the character you want
to edit and work from there.
I will explain some of the bytes under this list. Whenever a "/" appears
between more numbers,it means that the variable is more than one byte long.
CAUTION: The name of the character appears twice after one another, with 16
bytes between them. I refer to the SECOND time the name appears.General

Each item is represented by 3 bytes.
The first two bytes tell you what the item is, the third byte represents the
number present in that slot. If the item is a weapon or armour, the third byte
represents how much more"lifepoints" the item has. Once this reaches zero, the
item breaks.

What do the values mean? In case of the skills and arcane lore, the number
just represents how good you are at that skill. Negative numbers are
displayed countingfrom FF (255 d). So -1 will be shown as FF, -2 as FE, -10
as F6 etc.
Positive numbers will be shown as we know it in HEX, with a maximum of 12
(h) (18 (d)). The same of experience, astral- and life points, the leveland
all else.
In case of the sex: 00 is a male, 01 is a female.

I do not have the numbers for each item in the game. I have seen a list
in German, but it is very long and I cannot be bothered to translate
it and type it over again. Sorry! I have one for Shadows over Riva in
German, and I have noticed that the numbers for many items are the same,
but some of the items that appear in Riva are not in Blade and vice versa.
However, the German list can be used for certain purposes.
There are some things I have not been able to find.
These are:
1. AT / PA values for each weapon and the current value. I have noticed
that after byte 87 there are many more bytes that are generally
not equal to zero. I thought that they were connected to the
AT / PA value for each weapon, but so far I have not been able to
find their meaning, or their possible connection to the AT / PA
values.
2. The amount of movement points a character has.
